Blood test result

I was going to blog about this during my next month reporting in about 13 days, but it could be longer since I am never punctual in this monthly reporting, especially after I've start work. What the heck I am going to say it here and now.

I did a long overdue body checkup and the blood test result's just got back. It had never look better comparatively to my days in Asia. My cholesterol levels are actually within NORMAL LIMITS. Gotta repeat that in bigger fonts. NORMAL LIMITS...well except for the LDL which is 2.7 mmol but it is still comparatively lower. The rest of the it like kidneys, liver, blood profile- all good within limits except for strangely, high iron and low Vit D. Low Vit D cause I have shifted to the butt area of the Earth and you don't get much sun around the butt, rite? However Vit D is important for absorption of other vitamins so I have to go sun myself for 10 minutes everyday to get enough Vit D - which I haven't been doing cause it felt stupid in my Asian brain.

And where did that high iron come from? Doc's guess was excessive red meat which he told me to cut and eat fish instead. But based on the family's observation, I don't eat that much red meat and aunt had a bulb moment and suggested it might be the spinach I am steadily grazing every lunch like a cow on pasture for the last month. I love my pork so I agree with Aunty and I have been rationing the amount of spinach that I eat.

It was a bit shocking to hear I need to cut down on certain veggies. Too much of a good thing is not good at all sometimes.

The bees in our garden very 'chiong' in harvesting the last nectar before winter. Next month onwards will be daylight savings and we are 2 hours away each other. It made me feel closer to my roots already.
